Finally

Predicting 76 for here today... Another year where we skip Spring- and jump straight from winter to summer...

Frost 2 days ago and now a day long rain. Won't complain on the rain but the cold weather is getting old. Stark contrast from last year.

Today was hot! I was in jeans, boots and a tshirt and I worked up a good sweat just walking. The sun is also intense. To think that 4 days ago we had 4 inches of snow on the ground. Gotta love Colorado.

3 days ago I cultivated some corn ground.

Two days ago it rained most of the day.

Yesterday it snowed enough to cover the ground AGAIN.

So after going backwards for a few days, today it's more like spring and it was sunny all day.

Wood pile is getting really low and I hate turning the oil burner up. :x

What a beautiful day.. I was about 25 miles south of the Canuck line checking some cows and some fence-- and once when I got back to the vehicle the thermometer showed 77...... :D

Still some coulees where you have to ride 1/2 mile or so to find a place to cross with the ATV 4 wheeler-- as the snow is too deep- and all the coulees and fields still running beautiful amounts of water...Every reservoir/water hole I checked was plumb full- and one must have ran lots of water as it partially washed out...
My neighbor is going to try and haul pairs north tomorrow- but said the creeks are too high so will have to unload at another set of corrals- and trail them the last few miles...

But when I got back closer to town- I saw two tractors/airseeders in the field.... Farmers hate to not be the first in the ground...

How long will it be back there to get corn in the ground?
