Fire near Gcreek's Ranch in Canada

[Faster horses]

Gcreek has posted on FB about a fire near them. They have done what they can to protect their ranch and livestock,
but they would appreciate any and all prayers we can send up for them.

I can find two fires that might be in his area. The Beef Trail Creek fire at about 23,000 acres.
And the Dusty Lake Fire at about 11,000 acres. If the information I found is accurate.

His place is 4 hours west of Williams Lake in BC.

I seem to remember him saying something about Lake Anahim. That is on Hwy 20 west of Williams Lake.

Yes, I was thinkin that also. They are having people evacuate to Williams Lake. The Beef Trail Creek fire is
about 150 miles west, maybe a wee bit northwest, of Williams Lake, I think.
Dusty Lake Fire is west of Williams Lake maybe 120 miles.
These are very rough estimates. But reality is there appears to be no shortage of fires in the area.

This has a fairly good map. Zoom in and find Williams Lake, then click on the fire areas and it will name the fires.
Anahim Lake is sort of between these two fires.

They got irrigation pipe set up around their corrals/pens, I saw.
Nicky, do you know the name of the fire that is close to them?

My fire website just has numbers for Canadian fires. There are a couple going in the general area and not much information on them.

They have been so busy fighting fires and evacuating they probably haven't had time for many updates

The internet fire map I check on has little blue dots where there has been a lightning strike. Northeast of me into Idaho the map is just covered with little blue dots. North of here in the Wallowa mountains and farther north there was also a lot of strikes. It showed 7 fire reports. All new fires reported less than 3 hours ago. The boys are busy this afternoon. Hope they get them stepped on before they have a chance to spread.

"We are fine. Had an unfortunate turn of wind yesterday for only a couple minutes and fire got across a guard in two different spots. Crews are on them this morning.

He posted this on Cattle Today along with some pictures which I didn't try to copy.

Still going. Lots of ups and downs, SW winds yesterday caused fire to south of us to jump the guard and run 20 miles east to the south of us. So far we haven't lost any cattle or infrastructure but others have. We need rain or snow that isn't in the forecast.
