I'm like you guys..............#6 is a little bit different for my taste... :? ....just my opinion, though.....

Here's a couple more "fire" pictures........taken on our family camp-out last summer. We were up at Snow Lake.

Havin' a hard time deciding which to vote for, guess I'll have to wait for "back-up" again.........

I think #6 was put in wrong category but I could be wrong on that as well. I will explain more when the photographer says whether they meant for it to be in this category or not. It has a interesting tale...and sort of fun too. And the reactions you all gave, is exactly what all us country folks did to it as well, till we found out what was going on lmao.

Okay so I was wrong, they decided to put it here.  After all the voting is done I will tell you all the real story behind the house.

But, if the project was not already done with you all sure would help them out lmao....

To me :!:
#6 Looks Like what we call "FIRE WEED" growing out the windows of a building. :?:

Don't back down Easty - I have had some of my photos Questioned also.

True Art gives you (The Artist) that Right :!:

It also give us the right to QUESTION

If that be FIRE WEED it belongs here.

What gives us the Right to Question a Dumb, Stupid Broad that has no more brains than to Live in East TEXAS:?: :cboy: :lol2: :lol2:

Since I couldn't decide which photo to pick.. I thought I would post em on here that way you guys could see em anyway :D Hope u like em..

I was told to wait and post this after the voting but ya know what the hey......
I am sure yall KNOW who took the photo.
I was told by a couple people that this is NOT a "photography" site and things outside the box do not go over very well with ranchers.......
Well I have always thought it does NOT matter if your rancher~banker~cop~artist everyone can enjoy things outside the box. You can enjoy and even be made to think. You have to admit this is very creative and outside the box.
Easty can fill you in on "why" this house was done.

The topic was FIRE not things on fire or real fire or things that had been on fire.....FIRE
The flames are "fire"

Well I have learned a very important lesson .........Outside the box is too much for some on here.
I will save my creative ones for the other site that are truely "photography" sites, and stick to expected scenes.

LOL..now OD you know I never back down  . But, not sure they called that fire weed or not.

That was a College Art Class project along with the Psychology Dept. The house was just a abandoned farm house on the Highway here. They went in and cleared all the brush in front of it...did this to the house, then hung a ballot/oppinion box on the gate with a Welcome sign. You would not believe how many trucks, cars and people from all over the U.S. Stopped and questioned it. The art students did it for a interest, and a grade on creativity, the pys class used it as I suppose a theory of thoughts. But, from what the kid that lives here told me, said that they got remarks from WHAT THE H@$$ IS IT? to WHAT IS THE POINT? to COOL ART!! even got donations in the box, which they never asked for...lol it was just a experiment of sorts. It brought attention, and made people question. Especially for this poor little podunk community, we are slow country folks..dont ya know? EAST TEXA

Now what we call it here is that FUGLY HOUSE! but, it was fun to watch people and their reactions to it. That was done over a year ago.

So..Alabama there is your answer as to why? Just some college kids seeing what reaction they could get.

So hope you all enjoy the tale of why...I have laughed at it for awhile now..you should see some of the faces of people that I take up there to see it. It really is funny.

Personally,I think your being a little touchy about your photo, only three people commented on it,and they were not nasty. If your upset about the votes, well although your is for sure different and out of the box the others are true fires, and Nu. 2,in my opinion shows the harsh realities of fire.Don't take everything to heart and that its a personal attack, because I'm positive it wasn't.

No I am not upset. I was stating a fact and a lesson I learned to my dimay. :(
I never thought it would get many if any votes.
I submitted it to see how many would even try to see the humor in it. Its not even a good picture. I wish I had the time to get it at dawn but with only a day and half home on weekends dont have time NOT to sleep in.
No. 2 does show the harsh facts regarding what fire can do. That one is heartbreaking to think about how many animals didnt get out of the way. I have no problem with that nor any others.
You have to admit that for some on here~ out of the box is too much for them to even consider. Was it the best in the group.....nawwwwww I would have to give that to the one with the building on fire.
I will say it seems the same 2 have comments regarding every photo I post......But I wont let it bother me or keep me from submitting more.
 :)

Heck I thought it was a haunted house...out of the box, yep...interesting indeed. Artists and psychologists definitely think different than I do, but I suppose that's what makes them, them, and me, me.

Lots of good photos here, as usual, from the really pretty and intriguing to "odd" to sad...probably more emotions in this contest than any other posted here, in my opinion.

Cheers---

TTB

Some neat photo's this time. I really had expected more of the wild fire shots than what we got. Since that's what prompted this catagory to be added to the contest. But still some perdy neat photo's of fire.

My entry was when we tore down the old wood corrals, and pushed it all up in a pile and burned it. Along with the grass lot fence ....... that's why there's barbwire in the fire.
