Ty played his first football game tonight-he's #33 running the ball. We played the provinces top team from Delisle-Shelley's stomping ground-they beat us 40-27 but they scored on the last play of the game so it was pretty close. Ty's only had three practices because of his knee but he played about 50 minutes kind of a tired camper right now. Tomorrow he can go do something safe like riding bucking horses.

Don't see how they tell each other apart?

Both team wearing orange/red jerseys and black pants?

Hope none of those boys a color blind!

Thinking the same thing Mike.. Yikes, that would be tough.. Ther were times when our school would bring two Jerseys to games just in case the other team only had one that was similar to our Orange jerseys.. IF they had red or soemthing on we would put on the white ones.. Of course, our Jerseys when I played were about 10 years old, lol. Started getting new ones the year I was done.. And now it seems like they get new every couple years there, always parents donating money for jerseys but refusing to spend money on anyhting else..

We had a game Friday night, lost too.

Our teams have two jerseys, one for home games and one for away. That's how all the teams around here are, dark for home and light for away. Our home jerseys are maroon with some white, and the away jerseys are white with some maroon.

Pretty much same rules but only 9 players-geez Mike different coloured jerseys and four downs how easy do you want to make it lol.

 Might as well turn the lights off in a night game and make it real interesting!

I guess we teach our boys to tackle with their eyes open-the school can only afford one set of jerseys so you get by. To be honest nobody even mentioned it till you guys lol.

Not a problem here. "If they can do it", is all that matters.

Just have never seen two teams play against each other with colors so close to the same. Complete down to the helmets. It's very ironic. That's all.

Well Ty played second game tonight played linebacker the first half then came in as running back -his first set of downs he had three carries for 80 yards and a touchdown. He ended up with a hundred and some yardss but they lost which isn't so great. Back on hockey skates tomorrow though.
