First Gopher

Mrs. Silver and I were sitting on the deck yesterday enjoying a drink and I noticed the trees are budding. I actually noticed this well before I finished my drink, just for the record

The way this wind is blowing out of the south we may end up with song birds here tonight whether they want to be here or not

Killdeer are here and the geese are flying over so there must be open water somewhere. The last 2 weeks have been more like early April than March. Will enjoy this weather for calving but concerned about the water leaving to early for irrigation.

Can't win them all.

Bet you arm packing heat on your next excursion.

Saw my first gopher about 3 weeks ago but in the past week a lot more are out. Shoot hard, shoot early!
The Bald Eagles were back about 2 or 3 weeks early this year. Had one fly low over the house a few days ago. Beautiful! Dry here so hoping for some moisture soon. Forecast was for some snow on Sunday/Monday but guess they`ve cancelled that forecast as of this afternoon.
Got some calves on the ground & it`s been good weather for calving.
