Today I fixed fence on the forest allotment. The weather was perfect, and the range looks fantastic
. Should be a great year for us up there!
How can this office view be beat???
Picture of our "impaired" water spot. This was the focus of a lawsuit involving the Clean Water Act. Several thousands of dollars later, we've fenced the area out from cattle, and it still exceeds minimum water quality standards. It falls under "primary contact" standards, which means waters where ingestion is likely to occur (boating, swimming...). Makes a lot of sense when you can barely wade in it :? .
Me and my helpers for the day
.
Gates pose quite the puzzle for the public... they don't only like to damage them, they also like to write nice messages for us ranchers. Someone wrote on the sign something to the effect of "F*** them Ranchers."
At least they didn't shoot down more trees...
Had a little issue with the tie rod at mile 25,175 today  . This really was the first major problem I've ever had with this wheeler.
I limped it out of there. Just had to stop about every 10-20 feet to straighten the tire back out  .
