I posted this in H;s 4th thread but it got buried and I thought you might not see it. :D

Up here for birds and it might work for fawns is to attach a pipe out the side of the tractor and hang a couple of chains to flush them out.

Thanks, I have not seen anything like that before. I was mowing some real tall, thick grass and heard a couple cries. I stopped right away, but couldn't see anything...so I backed up and then seen what I had done to the fawn.... :D . I searched all around for a twin or triplets, but didn't see any, though I could of walked right by one and not seen it. I mowed the rest around that area and didn't come across any more. I have two more spots where there s no way I'll see anything...a cow could be in there and I wouldn't see it. Just as soon as the sun set, momma came running out of some grass I haven't cut yet by some timber looking for her baby... :( .

When I was a kid, running Dad's mounted double bar mowers, I got a fawn, pheasant, and a dog all in 1 day. Pretty much made me sick. I got paid back a couple days later, when I mowed into a bumble bee nest. Got stung on the nose 7 times before I made it into the river. Swelled up like a balloon too.
