Ty travelled to Foam Lake for the provincial football semifinal on Saturday. This team humiliated us 56-12 last year-a real class act gambling 3rd and 9 on their own 10 with a forty point lead. The Spartans took control early we doubled the time of possession in the first half-our defence had six turnovers in the game. We were leading 22-7 with under two minutes left when the four Foam Lake refs stole it from us-four of the worst football calls I've seen right in a row-the Foam Lake coaches basically made the calls. It was brutal but they tied us and finally beat us in double overtime. A brutal way for Ty's last football game to end-I sincerely hope those classless cheats get a proper asskicking from Humboldt. I'm usually pretty philosopical about bad reffing but yesterday took the cake. On a good note Emily's hockey team got a win Saturday. Ty rode the bus home Saturday and joined his Midget hockey team today and they got their first 'W' too.

Ty turning one upfield-they double teamed him all day so he didn't get many easy yards-that opened things up for the tailback-he torched them for three TD's.

Must have been bad to tick you off Corey.Too bad for the boys, guess theres a lesson in everything, bad reffing can make you winners but not WINNERS!!

Well onto hockey, hopefully you get into Alta and we can come watch Ty play. World Juniours are in Camrose...hoping to get to at least one game. Should have bought the pkg, took time off and went to every game. Dumb, when will it EVER be that close again....

Yeah I had a pretty big lump in my throat shaking hands with the Sr's-I've coached some of those boys in hockey since they were little guys-pretty proud of all they achieved it was a shame it had to end that way. The closest we get to you is Lloydminister with both Ty and Emily's teams.
