Nebraska tradition bull$hit crap! I thought those guys had some guts and nuts?

I lost $200 on this so-called football team Saturday.

I hope they lose out the rest of this year and next year too.

The problems they are having cannot be all due to coaching.

Arm tackling, afraid to hit, slow as molasses.................... Just crappy players in general.

And now, the rest of the story.......
I don't think you can say we don't have the horses when we've had 3 consecutive top 10 recruiting classes. We've got players.

I was at the game - we had 3 guys go down in the first 5 plays. The QB was throwing behind his receivers all day - one dropped a 40 yd TD pass (same guy who fumbled a punt that let to A&M's 2nd TD) For the first half, Callahan let his O cord. call the plays - and we had 80 more yards of offense than A&M. The second half Callahan called the plays again and we didn't score... The teams that beat A&M loaded the box and made them throw - not Cosgrove - he just played our base and NEVER changed! Their QB carried the ball 35 times because we wouldn't change the D - Coach Fran made the comment that he kept calling the same plays because we never did anything different to stop them. Mizzou's QB said the same thing - we ran a "high school" defense and never changed.

The kids are rusty tacklers because they don't do it in practice. They haven't been in full pads since season started because Callahan claims "That's the way we did it in the pros". They "get more work done" that way.

I don't now how many times I've seen us third and two, third and three, and we're in the shotgun. Here you've got a guessing down for the D, and he takes away all the guesswork.

It's coaching and these kids know it. They're being sent to a gun fight with baseball bats.

You're either blind or can't see. Which one is it?

Everyone the Huskers have played this year are not that good.

I can see slipping up once and a while, but getting beat as bad as they have? I don't think it's possible for a coach to make players play this pitiful.

When is the last time they played a close game?

The Huskers are like 115th in defense this year.

They are allowing 32 points per game....................

Mike, an opposing QB says we ran a high school defense and never changed. Potter, onE of our D ends, was asked about changing the defense and he says, "We never practiced anything else".

Another opposing QB runs the ball 35 times - once 7 times in a row, and we never changed a dang thing. Their coach claims he never intended for his QB to run that much, BUT WE NEVER CHANGED ANYTHING. The poor bastard needed intravenous fluids after the game because he got so worn out RUNNING THE SAME FLIPPIN PLAY 35 TIMES!

There's no wondering around here why our D is rated so low - our opponents are telling us.

I'm agreeing that the defense sucks.................................

But if the players themselves can't make any "on the field" adjustments, can't be too much said about them either.

I still say the talent and coaching sucks.
