I have ultra-fast DSL and a new high powered computer, but at times your pages take for ever to load. Is this because of sever overload? If you are going to do such a good job with a very popular site, you might need to power-up your severs to handle the load!!! :wink: :wink:
And, how about a sarcasm icon? I don't know if the winks get it across. :oops: :) :lol:
 
I have the same setup RM & sometimes I just give up on this site. Some days I might read 3-4 posts ok & then the next hit just sits there until I get disgusted and quit.

Ironically when I tried to post the sarcasm smiley. it locked up as well, but I don't blame that on an overloaded server...
I blame it on me agreeing with KolanRaven the other day..

....I had to re-boot 3 times to get this far...................locked up trying to get from one session to the other.............

Earlier I tried to reply, I waited and waited, and gave up, then I couldn't navigate anywhere so I gave up totally. Not having the probs now, though.

I have noticed that some PM's stay in the out box for several days and never get sent...not sure what the heck is going on there..... but it gets frustrating
 
The problem is probably too much traffic for Macon's servers...too many people trying to tap into the infinite amount of wisdom here!!!!

I think you're right about the traffic, RM. The problem seems to be worse at certain times. It's pretty frustrating - sometimes I just give up, too.

It seems like it started getting slow over here when he changed things up over at CT. A lot of the extra traffic seems to be coming from CT. Sometimes I see 90 users online over here - we never used to have that many here.

When people online at CT go to the Photos link over there, it takes them out of CT and brings them to Ranchers. I wonder if that's part of the problem?

Ummm I can answer this one. Only because I asked it myself sometime in the past. It stays in your "outbox" until it's opened by the person you sent it to. It is in their "inbox" but doesn't go to your "sent" folder until they open it.
Do you feel better now Jigs???? :P
