When Karen was here last summer, we worked the neighbors cattle. Here are some more pix she took around here and working cattle.
Here is a couple of neighbors and me. We ran cattle up the alley and sorted the cows from the calves. Works real good and goes, too fast. I just love sorting cattle, ahorseback. Me and "Bubba" would try to bring mainly cows or calves, so there was less sorting for Glen, who was running the gate.
One of the great things about Karen was, not only did she have a good eye for pictures, but she also knew how to stay out of the way and not slow the work down. She's welcome here anytime.
This is an old house where my grandparents did the laundry. It had an old 32 volt light plant in it. Motor is still there, but seems to be locked up, now. There are way too many old antiques in it, but I haven't got anywhere else to store them. Most wouldn't be worth much to others, but to me they are sentimentel. Maybe when it finally falls down, I will be forced to do something about it. This is the shack where Saddle Tramp killed my "gaurd mouse".
Here's the mares and colts comin' in.
Here's a pic of my 2 year old drat horse, Dandy, that Saddle Tramp found for me. Dainty little thing, ain't he? As you can see, he's pretty wild.
Now, if I can just get his sister to act this nice, I'll have me a nice team.
