Ford F 150...

Oh yeah..... Taking Dean to school.... They said the way they are designed, the wheel stays on... Otherwise it would of come off... Nope, no warrenty as we have 69,000 on it.. I put 120 miles a day on it... They tried to send me home with an old go to hell car. I told them I wanted a pickup as our roads are really bad. So they sent me home in a 2003 Dodge 1500 SLT... Rides and drives nice, gets the same or better milage as the Ford. Sooooooo I bought it!!!
I stopped at the dealership this morning and all the garage guys were complaining about NOT have ole red.. :D Now they have a dinky white pickup that they can't get nothing into.. Lots of whining...... They had to come out and look at it.... I need a grill guard and splash guards and I'm ready to roll...

glad your OK , looks like dodge is having some mayjor rear end issues as well.

I was gonna say "get a Dodge" but I waited too long :)

Coulda had my Dodge :? Personally I can't wait to not have one :(

Glad you're mobile again Katrina!

I have a feeling you will regret buying the Doodge.

Never forget that Government Motors & Chrysler (Doodge) took bailout money. One shop here charges 1.5 times their hourly shop rate when they have to work on a Doodge. The local mechanics here HATE them! :!:

Almost every oil field rig you see around here are Dodges. Even the
mechanic pickups are Dodges. They are really popular. I think you'll
be fine with yours, katrina. We have had a '97, '02, '06, and '11 and
we've not had any problems with any of them. Good luck with yours!!
The /97 and '02 were used when we got them...

I don't dissagree about the bailout money. I think a dodge 3/4 ton is way heavier built than a ford or chevy 3/4 ton. My dad has a chevy, and I have seen tires off of a ford to get fixed. All you have to do is look at the rear axle and brake, and you can tell dodge is heavier. The solid front axle dosn't ride quite as nice, but I don't think anyone can argue that its not beefier that the other brands independent front end. They all make a good vehicle in their own way, and I admire Ford for not needing the bailout. I just like the dodge for heavy work.

Ford doesn't have independent front suspension in a 3/4 or 1 ton.

One the the reasons they are popular in the patch here. Less moving parts.

We went from being strictly Ford, to totally Dodge! I love the way my 06 Cummins runs, pulls, and rides. I think it has every factory option available. Lisa had an 04 Dodge half ton. It road and drove great, but it only had a 4.7 Liter V8, and only got about 15mpg. We sold it, bought a 96 3/4 ton Dodge out of Texas. She drove it 40 miles, and we found out why they sold it to someone out of Nebraska! Motor was totally JUNK!!! ( I have NO use for Texicans) Anyway, we found another motor, for not to much, and its getting put in as I type. In the mean time, we bought a Chrysler 300M, as we were down to just 1 vehicle, and I don't like being afoot. You talk about a nice vehicle!!! and it gets over 28 mpg!!

Fun to watch. The Forestry clip has more talk about what sets Ford apart.
