Awhile back got a post going about the weirdest, strangest or most unusual thing you found.

Well I found a rather interesting thing yesterday. Was driving down the road near our place and saw something funny looking in the grass not far off of the road. Stopped and backed up.
It was a Golden Eagle. It was dead, we are guessing killed by the power lines. Called the game warden and she came and got it today.
Sorry I didn't get any pics taken. :( Wish I had.

Anybody else found anything else?

I found a calender from a auto parts dealer dated 1962. It was under a rock and in prisine condition. I brought it to my wife and her mother and theyboth started to cry. They sais it must have been my father in laws as he worked part time there before he passed away. Since then I have found a lot of his old stuff buried in the ground. He sure must have liked Pabst Blue Ribbon as I find old cans buried all over the place.

I found a bald eagle last year while shreddin. It was layin on the ground belly down, wings out......wierd. Right under a tree. Looked like it just died and fell out of the tree. I didn't touch it, or call anyone. Probably should have. But I didn't know what to do. So I took a couple pics, and left it layin. Was kinda sad for me, cuz I'd never seen a bald eagle......then for my first one to be dead...uhggg!!!

Maybe 6 to 10 years ago, I was travelling down 'our' stretch of SD hiway #63, 5 miles south of Midland early one chilly summer morning. There was quite a lot of dew and the sun was just up over the horizon.

In the west ditch, I saw something on a big round bale. It was a huge Golden Eagle lying face down, head turned to one side, eyes closed, with legs stretched out behind, and wings to each side.

My first thought was it must have gotten its claws trapped in the twine ties on the bale, and I wondered how on earth to free it, if it happened to be alive.

Then it raised its head, blinked it's eyes a coupe of times, stood up, shook out its feathers and flew away, obviously disgusted that a nice bit of soaking in the bit of warmth from that early sunrise was so rudely interrupted!

Haven't seen anything like it since.

My brother in law once found a pig.

A nice market ready hog just walked into his yard one day. All the neighbours were called and no one had lost it, so he put it in a pen, fed it for a couple of weeks, then it was off to the freezer for piggy. It must have fallen out of a truck. 8)

We were hiking in the woods near our house and found a big metal spike and metal plate. We learned later there was a small railroad in the 1800s that went thru these woods taking passengers, apples and clay pottery made from the White Clay Creek to markets in the next state. Nice finding a piece of history. I was digging a foundation yesterday and kept hoping to find some sort of artifact- no such luck!

I was cleaning out my corral and found a log chain.Of course I had gotton stuck there and knew where it was just lost it in the manure.

Yanuck, I think maybe the badger is dead, there's blood running out of it's mouth.
My husband and I were on our way to the coffee shop yesterday morning and found a brand new step ladder laying on the side of the highway. It still had the shipping and freight tag on it.

My mother has these HUGE flower beds and is a avid gardener. She was working in her yard and her ' something' caught her attention.

She looked up and there stood a HUGE emu.

She looked at it....it looked at her .....gave a horrible squawk and turned and ran out the driveway gates..............................right into the front end of a fast moving 18 wheeler chicken feed truck.

It was a mess to behold.

We had no idea where it came from......no one ever talked about missing one.
