we had a bit of flooding.. I was working in my garage yesterday and came in for supper,.. when I went back out afterwords the back yard and my garage had a few inches of water in it.. by the time I picked up my waterlogged project we had about 6 inches of water in the garage.. nothing really unusual for us at the Jersey shore..
our house is about 5 blocks from the beach and 5 blocks from the back bay, we get our flood waters from the back bay. The TP storm IDA and a nor'easter is bearing down on us now, and we will see at least another two tides stacked up so I might have more dramatic pictures this evening.. (high tide is at 5pm tonight) we were approaching low tide when I took the pictures.. 8)

Dean wants to come and jet ski steve...  Wow that is some great pictures I think.... What will you have for damage? No basements right? I love the green stucco next door.... How about some rosebud renegades for neighbors??? :P :P

Our house is the green stucco home.

have Dean be here by 5pm for the next high tide..

no basement.. ( or indoor pools as we call then here.. ) no damage..

I was making and painting a new crawl space door and it was floating in my garage.. so I do have a bit of a mess.. but not really any damage..

Steve what is the highest the water has ever been on your house? Also is your air unit on the left side of the house and is it on a platform?

I love your house steve... And don't give that boy any ideas!! THis really does blow my mind... I think I would rather have snow... Then you know how much I love water!! 8) NOT!!!

then you should wait and come out when it snows.. usually it snows when we have a December/January Nor'easter.. we get 6" to a foot of snow and then it floods.. it's like little icebergs everywhere... :? :?

in the twenty years we have lived here, it has never came into the house..

it has been within an inch of coming in and we have had to replace underfloor insulation and carpet once.. , ,

I have old pictures somewhere of my boat floating in the garage in the back. ,.... and this one where the tide had gone down a bit, and left a real mess..

to the left of the house is a gate to the back yard and my garage, our central air is in the far back right corner of the house and on a platform about two feet off the ground, (high and dry)
