Good for you, Cal, thanks for sharing the pics. You're pretty dedicated to home grown beef to take it all the way to Hawaii with you.

Hi Cal. I was just curious if you and Cody became s.c.u.b.a certified after your trip? My wife and I agreed that the scuba diving was the funnest activity we did whilst on our honeymoon in early July. We both want to become certified so that we don't have to go through instruction everytime we go on vacation. It is a totally new and crazy experience trying to breathe underwater. Almost like we weren't designed to do it! :D

Thanks all.....and plum dedicated to home grown beef! :-)

Kosmo, where did you and your new bride go diving? Any pictures?

Cody started Scuba on a whim last November in Cozumel. It was part of the available activities at the Iberostar that we stayed at. They were associated with PADI. There's a PADI certified lady Scuba instructor in Spearfish, SD that he finished the rest of his classroom and pool instruction with, and then finished the open water dives with the Scuba Shack, also associated with PADI, in Maui. He's now certified for Open Water diving, no depth restriction....just supposed to dive once a year to stay current. There's a few people around here interested in becoming certified, and maybe putting a trip together next year. Drop me a note, I can have my wife get you more info. if you two are interested.

Me...I'm doing good just to snorkel a little and take a few pictures. I worry about getting harpooned

Cal I am sooo JEALOUS!!!! We don't get to take off for a vacation, let alone Scuba Diving!!!! Thanks so much for sharing your pics, it gets me out of this place for a short time....and you have such beautiful pics under water! :D :D :D :D

I really liked the(homegrown) steak grilling.MAke peoples tounge slap there eyeballs out.Nothing makes you feel better than to see the envy in peoples eyes when you cook a homegrown. makes your chest kinda swell up dont it?

I enjoyed the pictures very much, Cal.
Good for you for going even when it was a bit of an inconvenience.
Your son will remember this before he remembers wheat harvest!

My favorite photos was the one of the palm trees at dusk and
of the big turtle swimming in the ocean.

Oh, and I had never seen coffed bean trees, either. So thanks
again for sharing with us!!!

Even grilling hamburger that we brought from home, a couple from CA commented on how great they smelled. They were grilling tuna, I think, would have been tough to swallow.

FH, my wife loves watching for Sea Turtles as well....some are pretty big.

Thanks again, and I apologize for putting too many pictures in one post.

Wow! Thanks for this mini vacation for me tonite...I sure enjoyed visiting Maui through you....Some great photo's and I'm sure some great memories to keep also...Snorkling is on my bucket list!
