Frontier Stockyards

Do you mean in Miles City?
If you do, they are a reputable business-MLCC has been around a long time.
Miles City Livestock Commission features Frontier Internet Auction; both
owned by the same Montana people as far as I know.
Their Internet Auction isn't as big as Superior Livestock.

They have a loyal following and are very established.
Guess I don't know what else to tell you.

Here's a link you might use with some representative sales listed:

Yep I think FH is right- they are pretty much the same folks as Miles City Livestock... I've never done business with their internet sales- but have bought and sold cattle and horses thru Miles City Live and been treated quite well...

Around here when Superior began having financial problems and ownership flipflopping- their local rep and many customers switched over to Northern Livestock- which essentially is the Goggins crew... I haven't heard any negatives about them ...

Also just for info- if any of you don't know about it-- a good site to go to where you can watch auctions all over the country (including some video sales like Northern)...
Gives you a good idea how the prices are around the area...

Also interesting the differing "types" of cattle and the big variances between areas...

Thanks guys, one can never be too careful, especially after the Superior debacle. Anyone heard anything bad about Northern, a friend told me they got into a bit of hot water over a custodial acct mishap, might be BS though. I would certianly rather use a MT company, looks like it will be down to Frontier or Northern. Anyone used both? Thanks again.

Guess it just depends on whether you want to do business with Goggins or
someone else. Good luck!

Oh by the way, welcome to ranchers. We have alot of fun here. Not so much on Bull Session or Political Bull but the rest of the forum is full of fun and
knowledge and there is a lot of shared knowledge here, believe it or not. :P
It's interesting how ranchers in other places do things differently or the
same as us.

Heck, you don't even need to own livestock to be here. It's all in having a ranchers attitude.

Hope you stick around!
