Full moon and hard crust

Checking cows under the full moon, the new one were up and had suckled so got their navels iodine. Can walk on the crust tonight, looking at the dry farm hills and thinking how back in high school or spring break from college we have a fire and everybody would be tubing and coasting. But now everybody thinks the County should build a recreation center and swimming pool because the kids got nothing to do.

Seems like nobody can have a good time or is satisfied unless a bunch of money is spent on their behalf. Sometimes we can't see the forest in life, for all the trees that are in the way.
