Our collie/heeler bench had her 4th litter last week with the usual tan and white pups from the collie/samoyed(sp?) dog up the road.

But -WHOA! The first one out was lime green! I ain't kidding! And now, almost one week later, it is still a lime-ish shade of green over its tan and white colour.

Any ideas why? I have heard 1 or 2 explanations and am told that it will go away. I was really hoping it would stay green and we could make big bucks off of it as a poster puppy for the environmental movement!

Move over, Al Gore.

:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

It will go away--something in the sac caused the color..would be great if it stayed, but it won't...You could name it "Kermit."

The pup pooped in his sack before birth or durin birth.....it will go away with time. But you probably could give it a bath and it'd take that lime green color away faster. He won't like it however LOL. It's a very common occurance.
