Three of those guys are wearing knee braces in the photo. How would you like to be them at 60.

You'll see more guys crippling around when they're 60 because they're too fat from not playing sports-I know my back never felt better than after I melted 35 pounds living off a tube in the hospital. Alot of guys wear a brace before they get injured for a bit more support. Some of those bareback guys look like transformers when they get their shoulder deals on.

Most linemen if you have'nt noticed are already big and fat at 20 imagine how big they will be when the games are over. I've seen plenty of people stay in great shape just working.Being a 60 year old armchair quaterback is'nt very good on a waistline.

My middle son played O-line for 4 years in high school. He weighed 265 his Senior year and wore braces on both knees every game, and he played every down.

He is 30 now and weighs 235 and has NO damage at all to his knees.

I would say they were a pretty good investment. They actually did what they were designed to do.

The fact that he lost the weight after he quit playing ball is just a bonus.

I think most of the teams require linemen to wear those braces more as a preventive measure than anything else.
