A short update that may be of interest to some -- the International
Committee voted to approve the adoption (with minor changes that were
made for clarity) all four proposed guidelines on animal welfare -- namely:
1) Guidelines for the Land Transport of Animals
2) Guidelines for the Transport of Animals by Sea
3) Guidelines for the Humane Killing of Animals for Disease Control
Purposes
4) Guidelines for the Slaughter of Animals for Human Consumption
