Genetic relation question

Am I safe to use a bull who's maternal grand sire is the same as the cow's paternal grand sire? Or how about a cow's paternal great grand sire? Thanks
 
What do you mean by 'safe'? You are afraid of 2 heads, 6 legs, 5 tails on one calf? :roll: I bred some of my heifers back to their sire this past year. He has a lot of things I like and wanted to tighten those qualities. That was a father/daughter mating..oh gasp. Those calves look like any other calf. Now, if the pedigree was trashy I'd never done it. Your concern is of no concern. :wink:
