Our church will have Easter Sunrise Service at a local landmark known as Signal Rock. It is so appropriate of a location for a couple of reasons. First this outcropping of sandstone has a clear view of the distant range known as the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Being translated the Spaniards had named this range "Blood of Christ Mountains." So we gaze afar at the blood of Christ on Easter morn. We stand on the Signal Rock, so named because its visibility made it a place the Indians sent smoke signals by day or fire signals by night. Fisher Peak is visible 150 miles to the south. From there it was easy to send a signal far eastward or south to Johnson Mesa, and from there deep into New Mexico. When the Comanche controlled this area, they could send messages deep into their southern ranges in a matter of an hour or so. Well, Christian, do we have a message to send? Does it not concern the blood of Christ? Christ loved us so much, that he shed his blood for the people that rejected and cursed Him. Was it not my sin and yours that He paid for with that blood? He rose on the first day of the week that He might provide everlasting life for anyone who will accept the facts. We are sinners. The wages of sin is death. He (Christ) paid that debt on the cross. He has risen, and has gone to prepare a place for us (John 14). Ain't that what Easter is all about? Ain't that the greatest story ever told? He did it so we can have a personal relationship with Him! Have yourselves a mighty fine Easter Sunday morning!

The sun is risen! The Son is risen!

You know, it's fun to get up on a high point and just look around, as I look at the beauty of creation, I am so amazed that the Lord built all this in just 6 days--
then to think over 2000 years ago Jesus left earth, as shortgrass mentioned, to "go and prepare a place" for us.
What's that place gonna look like in comparison????

Thanks once again Shortgrass for your message. It is extra special this Easter Sunday. We wish you a wonderful Easter and week ahead. It sure sounds like your sunrise service will be special. Sunrise services here will be brisk this morning. It is 7 degrees here now.

We have a new minister at our church. I hope calving works right and chores go well so we can hear her second sermon to our congregation.

We had at least two calves last night, one out of one of our oldest cows, who is 14, and one out of one of our youngest cows, who is not even two yet. We were hoping to have an Easter foal, but nothing yet!

God Bless!

Every week somene has a story about how it is all just an accident.
Red sky on one side and the moon on the other with a newborn calf wobbling around for a few minutes and then starts nursing,,,I can have no doubts that it wasn't an accident but instead was intellegent design.

"Jesus lived a good life in a bad world to prove to us that it could be done. Then He died and rose to prove that could be done also"

It's been the same message for thousands of years.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish

Repent= turn from your sins and turn toward the cross.

All= All

Perish= burn in hell for eternity

Easter ain't about goofy rabbits and eggs and candy. This is the worlds way of taking the focus off the truth. Easter is about a bloody day on a hill called Calvary over 2000 years ago. And about the worlds Saviour raising 3 days later in victory over sin and death. God offers us a free gift; REPENT from our sins and surrender our lives to Jesus and ask Him to save us from our sins. If we do this, REALLY do this, and believe in our hearts what Jesus did we will spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus and the Father. If we don't do this we will ALL perish.

The Word of God teaches us that Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Happy Easter!

1 Corinthians 2:9

"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love Him. . ."(NIV)

In other words, I guess we will have to wait, stay ready and see!

He is Risen! Now I look forward to His coming again.

Thank you for the reminder, shortgrass and others. I just love being able to read "Good Sunday Morning" because it's a place with no borders.

Wow! Shortgrass, that was one of the best meditations I have heard for some time..I am passing this on!

No wonder, PPRM! It is the best message ever to be given to humanity! So it is pretty good material to work with, but shortgrass presented it very, very well!

I've given lots of Meditations and a Sunday Message at our Church...I was always told by people I had a gift for it..I know how hard it can be and how important it is to just let god Guide you with these messages....

My comments were on the presentaion....Yes, we have a message, an important one, time to light a fire and send messages,

Thanks for the encouragement, Tap. I appreciate the reply that you do read it. Glad to hear that TTB's church has found a pastor too. That is always hard to be without. Was sure cold here--24 degrees--which would have been much appreciated in many places this am I'm sure. We got a skift of snow--I call it a rabbit tracker--which was welcome. A little is better than none around here.
