The football team had a party planned last night for getting their first playoff game ever. They have another one coming up Tuesday. I had a talk with the kid who was going to host it about there were two ways to lead his team up or down-a big celebration when the job isn't finished wasn't maybe the way to do it. He stood up in the locker room and postponed it. Young athletes can be very accountable if you give them that option. Now we just have to go down into Shelly's country and beat Delisle. Maybe I was a wet blanket for suggesting they put it off-but the chances to drink beer with your buddies are endless-the chances to win with your teammates aren't. The seniors will probably never play football again and you never will play with the same teammates ever again. This hockey season is a bit strange too-I've coached some of these kids since prenovice but some are done this spring-this is my first year where I'll be saying good bye to those players.

I think that your players are well coached NR. Gotta keep your eye on the prize, as they say. Partying should be left for the end of the season, not the playoffs.

NR......I just gotta say we appreciate people like you that take the time to get involved in the lives of these kids...My wife and I were leaders for our churches High School youth group...trust me, most weren't the stereotypical church kids, but rather, kids society has pretty much tossed....

They need someone to show they care and often that is showing them the importance of some sacrifice, discipline and teamwork...

So, just a simple thanks,
