Will worry about that when the time comes. I guess I'm not into the chicken little thing( the sky is falling). There are always options available.
So I take it you only look at what you have to deal with today and not what the future is going to bring. You are right though there are always options available the US's option is to IMPORT just like they do now to cover your shortfalls

Tam, As Canadian producers are finding out, producing for world markets is not the way to get out of low prices or have stable markets. They are erratic and full of political pitfalls.

ECON are you suggesting Supply Management?

Hi Tam,
I wake up every morning thank the good lord for that day. I can not worry about the future because we don't know the future. I do know we have had a drought for 3 years and after selling half of our cows and all of our hiefiers, we fill comfortable in keeping more back. I've been throught $250 cows and $400 calves. I am wise enough to know that you need to protect yourself by doing other options available. I do know with the good prices now we are having, that if you're not putting some away for a rainy day, you may down the road wish you would of. And all of us ranchers will be in the same boat. And there is no better boat I would rather be in.
