Nice that you missed the devotional. I appreciate all the posts. I like How Great Thou Art about as well as any of them myself. I liked Taps post too. I appreciate all of you. Red Robin had it right. We had our youth group out to a Mystery Dinner on Saturday night. When it was over, I had a mesage on my cell from Mom. She is 93 and living alone. She had taken a nasty fall, so we delivered teens home, and beat it straight to town. My daughter had taken Mom to the Hospital. She had a broken back. We stayed all night and the day with her. I left Colorado Springs, and drove straight to Youth Group Sunday nite. We were late, and, being aware of our situation, one of our seniors had 14 teens (without adult supervision) sitting listening and participating in a discussion concerning the movie (Facing the Giants) that we had watched at the dinner party Saturday. We let him have the lesson, and I really felt like the Lord was working. Jan and I are so proud of these teens who behaved in such a mature manner, and didn't hesitate to tell em. The difference between them and teens raising cain and getting in trouble is the Lord. The Lord makes a difference in a teens life or a gray haired ol' man's life. That is what He does, and He is very good at it! Changing Lives I mean. Sure changed me. Have your selves a Good Monday Mornin', and a good rest of the week too. Ya might pray for wisdom for us as we face some uncharted waters regarding Mom.

Thoughts and prayers for mom. Glad you are in one piece, was getting a little worried.

Sorry to hear about your mom shortgrass.. our family is going through much the same thing as my grandmother has spent the past month in rehab center after becoming disorienated and my grandfather just spent a couple of nights in the VA after being diagnoised with heart failure (Even tough he self diagnoised himself months ago he hadn't gone to a doctor yet)... They are moving into an assistted living place as soon as both can leave the ceters they are at.. 92 years old for him this year and 90 for her.... Regret not getting to know him better earlier in our lives as the last 7 years or so have been real special..

I really missed your Sunday post shortgrass, and will for sure send out prayers for your mom and your family, this won't be a easy time for any of you but you are in the best hands..Gods :)

Prayers from Texas for your mom too.

Thanks for all you do with your Sunday posts. Always hits the spot where it's needed....even if for some reason I don't get around to readin it until Monday or Tuesday.......

Shortgrass, our prayers are with you and your family, especially your mother. Glad that your youth group was able to carry on without their leader.

My wife finds working with the local youth group to be a rewarding endeavor. Last summer, she and a couple other adult sponsors took about a dozen young people to Kiln, Mississippi to help with Hurricane Katrina relief. They all felt truly blessed by the experience.
