I'm a bit late posting this morning. I am good at being late. The Lord is never late. Now it appears to us that He is. We think that He is a little late with rain in many many places. Mary and Martha both thought He was late when their brother died, but He had timed His arrival very carefully. We are told that "those who wait upon the Lord shall .............." Patience is often encouraged, but all you, like me, don't like to wait! Waiting builds trust, and that is a good thing. Have a good Sunday afternoon, and God bless.

Thanks Shortgrass, I've had many situations where I wanted something now and didn't get it. God used those to teach me patience and to really appreciate it when it did come according to his timing.

This Sunday was the last day for our pastor, we get the new guy next week. Our pastor has frequently been known to run late. He is not a morning person and sometimes we get a late start on the 8AM service. He is usually up to speed by the time he gets to the 10AM. :wink:

We will miss him. Sunday evening we had a farewell potluck together with our sister parish. Good food with good converstion and a lot of reminicing over the past 6 yrs.

Our pastor will be the new chaplain of the elementary, middle school, and high school in town. Basically trading places with the guy there now. I'm sure another potluck will be in the works to welcome the new guy. Changes don't come easy for any of us, but usually in the end it's all good and necessary and works to everyone's benefit.
