There has been some discussion of bulls on this site in recent days. We are thinking of what bulls we want to use. When they are turned out it will set in motion a course of action that will have a very predictable result. If that cow or heifer gets pregnant, there will be a delivery. You can't have a pregnancy without a delivery. The Lord makes that observation in Isaiah 66:9. He is really telling us that just as pregnancy causes delivery, so a promise from God will bring about a certain and predictable delivery on that promise. I am sure that we have all waited on that last heifer until we have jokingly made the comment that "she must have changed her mind, and is not going to have a calf." We might wonder if God has changed His mind about returning to earth. The answer is in that pregnant heifer. Just as surely as she will deliver, He will deliver. We do not know the exact time or date, but we may be sure that there will be a delivery. He has promised feed, satisfaction, rest and delight to those who have chosen to accept and trust Him. He has promised Hell's fire and brimstone to those who choose to reject Him (Isaiah 66:15-16). That is right - they choose their end, just as the believer chooses theirs. Isaiah 66 tells us of the coming of a great and glorious King. Are you ready? Will you be like that calf, running delightedly about with tail high, or one of those in the dead pile with maggots crawling over it (Isaiah 66:24)? Not a very pretty picture is it? Very real, though. The choice is yours, and "later" or "not right now" is a choice. I have been awfully blunt and to the point this mornin'. I am not trying to be offensive, just realistic. Remember, our day of reckoning may not be at our convenience any more than a heifer's delivery will be. Today would be a good day to settle the matter. By the way, I hope you have yourselves a good Sunday Mornin' and a good rest of the week!

Not offensive at all Shortgrass....only to those who have not beleived. The Bible tells us that today is the day of Salvation....because we know not when He will return or when our life here on earth will end. His return will be as a thief comes in the night....without announcement or warning. Only believe that Christ is your Saviour and that GOD is the LORD of your life. HE is of mine. Thanks again for the message.

Nothing wrong with that message.

No Shortgrass, JB is right...nothing wrong with that message.
But it does have me feeling guilty this Sunday Morning.

My friend and neighbor is in need of help this morning. My family and I are headed that way within the hour to offer assistance.
After reading that devotional, I feel like the one that has changed her mind.
We will be headed to evening services tonight but it is odd that Shortgrass shares this message today.

Again, as always, a great message.

Great powerful message, Shortgrass. Some folks think that it is not "dignified" to be "scared" into believing the plan of Salvation. There will not be much "dignity" in the eternal alternative if you don't believe. :(

Proverbs 1:7 "Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline."

My, what nice replies. I just got in, and checked this post. Spent the day w/mom. She is still having a tough time. Up & down, today was down. Cert, dont't feel guilty bout having to miss to meet a genuine need of a neighbor. Do we live it, or just go talk about it? I would think you made the right choice for whatever that is worth.
