The Colorado Rockies are getting beat like a drum! The chances of this team being crowned with a pennant are pretty slim about now. Ah well, just a ballgame. Reminds me of a verse tucked away in II Tim 2:5. If an athlete doesn't strife lawfully, he isn't crowned. One must play by the rules, or you lose. Romans 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to the rest of the world, but we can be transformed by the renewing of our mind. This is not a ballgame; our very lives are at stake. We need to march to a different drumbeat (play by a different set of rules) than the world. We would wear a cowboy hat anywhere because we are proud to be identified with agriculture, but perhaps we might be reluctant to say grace in a public place. Are we hesitant to be identified as Evangelical Christians? It is an honor to serve the most high God! Hold your head high; if someone else has a problem with that, they have a problem—a big one! If we were to be put on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict us? Have yourselves a good Sunday Mornin', and a good rest of the week too.

Good points, Shortgrass.

On another thread this week, it was mentioned that after someone dies in a car wreck caused by liquor, the beer parties stop for two or three weeks. Then they resume as always. It was the same deal after the 911 tragedy. For a few weeks after that, the churches were full on Sunday mornings. Soon though, it was back to back-sliding as usual. How short our memories are. It is a good thing God is way more faithful to us than we are to him.

Amen on the part about God's faithfulness to us.

Shortgrass,

Thanks for getting this message out tonight. I was trying to load a mixer when a front rim ripped off of the tractor. Same rim my partner changed 4 weeks ago.......At the time I questioned some things and let it go...Tommorrow is a full day and I didn't need tire changing and finishing feeding aded to my task list......So, hopefully I will get "Convicted" based on the way I handle things.....

Hmmmm......Maybe I shoulda opened a Bible rather than my laptop, thanks for reminding me,
