Isn't it hard when it's below 0 and the wind is blowing snow and you are out in it trying to save calves? A rancher endures hard things for the welfare of his livestock. In Acts 13:50-52 we read of how Barnabas and Paul endured persecution and did so with joy. I do not think that we are to thank God for all things, rather to thank him IN all things. We don't thank Him for the terrible car wreck, but we are happy and grateful that He is with us through these difficulties. Our difficulties are not what He does "to" us. They are a result of mankind's sinful nature. I do not imply that each problem is a result of some something that we have done. What characteristic of Barnabas do we write down this week? A good encourager is one who is able to maintain a cheerful attitude in spite of personal problems. Have yourselves a good Sunday mornin' and a good rest of the week to.
