Good Sunday Mornin'

I spent a big portion of the day fixing fence. Stretching wires that were no longer tight, splicing wires that had broken, stapling wires that had once been stapled, but some deer or antelope or the wind had caused it to fall out consumed much of my time. Then I had to clean the battery cables on the chore truck and recharge the air conditioner. If we fail to maintain equipment or a fence, they will just fall apart. So it is in our spiritual lives. If we don't do a little daily maintenance in the form of Bible study and prayer, we are flirting with a disaster that may come when our lives come apart or we fall apart emotionally. Let us determine to keep our spiritual lives in good working order. Have yourselves a good Sunday mornin', and a great rest of the week. Take some time for Him.

Thank you, Shortgrass. That was pertinent, both in the spiritual world and in the real here-and-now world. This winter has been hard on fences and windbreaks. It will take some maintainence to keep the ranch workable. Sometimes it is hard to find time to fix fence or to study the Bible. We must keep our priorities straight. You have a great way to keep everything in the proper perspective. Thanks again.

Thanks for the message Shortgrass. Your post reminds me of a little plaque sign my grandmother used to have on her wall that said "The hurrier I go, the behinder I get!" Especially this year with the welcome rains in this area most everyone is behind getting things done.

Seems like it's that way for me anyway. Fence needs attention, brandings to get done, and the latest project that came up is getting the yard mowed at the community hall for the primary election voting on Tues.

Gotta organize our priorities and keep things in order, with serving our Lord and thanking Him at the top of the list.

I wish everyone a good week, and if it applies to you, get out and vote on Tues!
