Shortgrass requested that I fill in for him this week. It is a frightening thought, but I told him with my dear wife's assistance we would do our best. Besides, the Good Lord will do all the hard stuff.

Peach Blossom is a fine Christian lady. She gets up early every morning and studies the Bible for half an hour as a start to her day. She is dedicated and has a close relationship with her heavenly father.

Peach and I have been married for nearly 30 years. She is a wonderful wife, my best friend, great cowgirl, and my ranching partner. I am very blessed in my relationship with her. By just knowing her and being her husband, I can ride along on her coattails and gain some of her reputation. She will go to Heaven when she leaves this earth. This is where my "luck" would run out, because I can't get to Heaven just by knowing her. I have to make this decision all by myself.

We can't get to Heaven by good works, or because of people we know and rub elbows with. We can only gain eternal salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior.

Have a good Sunday mornin' and a good rest of the week, too. Have fun, Shortgrass and Jan, wherever you are. :-)

To whoever likes reading the Good Sunday Mornin', I suggest signing up for Kit Pharo's free newsletter, it also includes a Sunday Morning Inspiration every week. You can't choose between the Sunday one or the regular PCC Updates, it's all or nothing.

Soapweed, that is what I would call a perfect sermon. You said in two minutes what some preachers never quite get around to in a month. The bottom line is the bottom line and can't be said too much. You have to take personal responsibility to ask the Lord for salvation, forgiveness and eternal life. No one can do that for you. Thank you Soap. :-)

Soap...Sounds like many of us are married to the same woman, LOL....
That's exactly what I thought when I read it. Sounds like a lot of us are really, really fortunate.

Good job, Soapweed.

Well said, Soapweed & Peach! Only by personally accepting Jesus Christ as your LORD & SAVIOUR can one attain the glorious future that awaits those that do. Today is the day of salvation. Now is the time to ask Jesus into your life.
Daily personal Bible study is so important. And because of that, people like Peach can keep an even keel in their lives even when the ground gets rough.
Thank you both for your testimony and witness to the power of Christ.
