Prayer to God is a wonderful blessing. Ask the Soapweed household! I remember stopping off in the sandhills in October of 2007. We were treated royally by Soap & Peach. They shared their joys and concerns with us. They told of a lovely Christian daughter that they had been unable to talk to for a few years; as parents of three lovely Christian daughters our hearts just broke for them. We promised to pray for them, and pray we did. Soapweed and Peachblossum were very confident that God would hear and answer theirs, ours and many of your prayers. You can not imagine how elated we were when we found out that Tiffany was home, and, just as Peach had voiced to Jan that what God would do, He has done!! After all has not God promised in John 14 that whatever we ask in Jesus name would be done. Then in James 4, He clarifies that "in Jesus name" is not a magic phrase that enables us to use God to meet our selfish lusts. I can tell ya of one household that pretty well understands what God will do for those that love and trust Him! Thank you, Soapweed and Peachblossum, for sharing your lives and your faith with the rest of us. What a neat family. What a story. What a God!! Have yourselves a good Sunday mornin', and a fine rest of the week too.

Always loved that passage in scripture. Shortgrass, have you considered taking up being a preacher? Anyway, I'll say that you do a wonderful work right here on Ranchers. Thank you for faithfully posting this and may the Good Lord have his blessing on you and yours. Have a good Sunday Mornin'.

Thanks for the kind words, Shortgrass. It is amazing what God can do, when He wants to do it, and on His timetable. Sometimes we mortals try to rush things and that doesn't work.

We are enjoying getting reacquainted with our wonderful daughter. She is the first to admit that she was taken in by lies and deceit, to follow the wrong road in cult fashion. She went into it for all the right reasons but it turned out all wrong. Tiffany wanted a deeper relationship with her Heavenly Father, but she walked up the teeter-totter and went down on the far side. Now, with self-imposed daily Bible study she has seen the Truth. We have great faith that she will work wonders from here on out.

Soapweeds surprise thread made my week. Proves Gods in all our lives and he really touched us in ranchers. Since joining here my prayers have broadened.A lot have been answered. YOU guys stepped up and said a lot of prayers in my direction this yr too. Can never ever thank-you enough.

Shortgrass, your Good Sunday mornings always give me a great boost...thx.

About prayers...hows Jan this week? Look after that lady of yours.... :)

This is wonderful news! I haven't been visiting this site much lately, but finding this when I checked Shortgrass' Sunday sermon has made my day. I can only imagine the joy that Soapweed's family is feeling and we wish you all the best. We do have an awesome God!

Mrs Greg, you are so good to ask about Jan. She is doing well. She is on a med that takes estrogen out of her body, as the type cancer she had fed on it. That has side effects. Hot flashes, joint aches, and head aches are pretty bothersome some days. Her mood is fine, and has not been at all quarrelsome--thats my job :D . Her problems are troublesome, but not life threatening or major as nauseau or hair loss type symptoms. We are good. So is God. Now how about your Hanna??

Good for Jan,I've come to know from your posts, theres a special lady :)

Hannas doing great, she spent the night with me Halloween, she begged her mom. That makes me feel great.Shes alot of work, cathing her, different meds every few hrs,dressing,lifting....etc What Hanna doesn't understand yet is,I'm the one that gains the most from her stays, visits, calls... :) That little girl has more strength and determination in that tiny body then I've ever had in my life.I get strength from her.God is good and shows himself in ways we don't expect.

Have a great week :)
