I am no longer a dirty old man. You need to know that my definition of a dirty old man is a man with a wife, 3 teenaged daughters, and one bathroom. We now have no daughters at home and two bathrooms, so I have it made! I never made an issue out of the time that the girls spent in front of the mirror. I just told each of them that I did not care how long they spent in front of the mirror. Just to be sure and do a good job and groom yourself to be what you can be. The only thing that I would ask is that for every minute that they spent in front of the bathroom mirror that they need to spend a minute in front of another mirror. James 1:22 compares the word of God to a mirror. We need to spend what ever time is needed in the Word to groom the inner person until we become all we can be. So my rule was equal time; spend all the time you want in the bathroom, but spend at least equal time grooming the inner woman, and you will be beautiful. It worked—I have three of the most beautiful daughters you could imagine—all raised by a dirty old Man :? . I recommend that you might consider the equal time rule as a New Years Resolution. Have a good Sunday mornin' and a great new year too

You are an inspiring man my friend! We each reflect through our acts and deeds, the inner person that we really are. So folks will see us more like God, or, Less. I'd guess your friends and nieghbors see a very Christlike person in the countanance of Shortgrass. Thankyou for helping us all remember what's important and so eloquently sharing your GIFT of the gospel. There are lots of neat people that visit this site, but you are one of a couple i'd love to meet and shake hands with! :D Just so ya know, you made a terrific difference in somebodys life today! Mine!

I, too would like to make the personal acquaintance of some more of you folks than I have, but don't set you sights too high, or ya may be disappointed!

Thanks Shortgrass, I don't always thank you for posting this and I should. You do a wonderful job at it and we appreciate you!!! I'm off to Coffee Shop to read the daily bible reading.
