If a fence has been in place for 18 years in our state, it is the legal boundary even if surveys show it has been misplaced. Certain homesteaders undoubtedly "misplaced' survey markers to have more land. Boundaries in biblical times were marked by pillars of stone. If someone wanted to steal land, he might move an ancient landmark. Although the pillar may have been moved, the actual boundry remained the same in God's eyes. God had told Joshua where to set those pillars that marked a tribe's territory. Proverbs 22:28 says not to move the ancient landmarks which your fathers have set. Our application of that verse would be, don't move the boundaries which your fathers have set. If it was wrong for our grandparents, it is wrong for us. This "new morality" is nothing but good old fashioned immorality. The idea of what is right for you may not be right for me is unscriptural. If God says it is wrong, it is wrong for everyone. Right and wrong is not relative to people or situations; it has been predetermined by God, and is unchanging. Well, have yourselves a good Sunday mornin', and a great rest of the week too.

Thanks, Shortgrass. Right is still right, and wrong is still wrong. God's Holy Word and His teachings are as pertinent now as they have been in the past. God will still have the final word, even if mankind thinks they can temporarily "move the boundaries" to suit their own needs.

Shortgrass, a few thoughts went through my mind when I read your message today.

Every rancher knows you can't make a fence good if it has lousy or non-existent cornerpost braces to anchor it and keep the wires tight. Without good braces the wires will slacken and pretty soon those breachy cows will figure it out.

Jesus is that solid, stable corner post anchor in our lives. We are fenceline posts who can only do our job if we stretch our spiritual wires up and anchor on tight to Him.

When our wires to Him become broken, slack, or disconnected, the renegade cows and troubles of this life are free to wear us down as a rubbing post or break us off completely. A lone fencepost simply can't function or do its job on its own. It needs to be connected to the other posts, and most importantly, the corner post.

In the same way we Christians need to stay connected not only to Jesus who is our solid anchor, but also to other Christians through our prayers with and for each other.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday and rest of the week. Pretty darn nice +27F degree day here today. Better enjoy it before it's back to the deep freeze again!
