Ever notice how hard it is to make a calf live if he wants to die? Ever notice how you can't kill a calf that wants to live? In a calf, we call it "try." Ever notice how little some big horses can do, or how much some little horses can do? In a horse we call it "heart." In a person we call it "attitude." Often, life places us in circumstances over which we have no control, but we, and only we, can always, each and every time, control our attitude. Attitude makes all the difference in the world on how happy we are and how pleasant we are to be around. My good wife has reminded me in recent weeks of how much easier adversity is to deal with if we have a good attitude. God gives us all the tools, instruction and help we need to maintain a good attitude, but having one is up to us. Ever notice how hunger, fatigue and attitude are so closely linked? :D ???? :( ???? ???? Well have yourselves a good Sunday mornin', and a great rest of the week too.

Shortgrass, your good wife is on to something there! Mrs Shortgrass is living proof that what she says is true!

And you're certainly correct, God gives us everything we need, we only need to maintain a receptive and thankful attitude toward Him.

God doesn't force anything on us. Much of our misery in this world is self-imposed by our own bad attitude.

One of my grade school teachers used to say "Can't never could do anything". We know in our hearts that with God all things are possible. We only need the correct attitude.

Thanks Shortgrass :) My aunt is a great example of that too. She has had chronic pain for the last 50 some years but she is one of the sweetest most cheerful person I know. And yes, she is a christian.

The sun is shining this morning, and a gentle breeze is blowing. We were blessed with an inch of rain during the past three days, and we probably had two inches of moisture in the 20+ inches of snow the past two weeks. Life is good. :-)

Hate to admit it, but somehow it is easier to have a great attitude on this kind of day more so than a couple weeks ago when the blizzard was howling. :?

Thanks Shortgrass, for keeping things in perspective. Your weekly messages are always something to look forward to. Give our best to Jan. :-)

Peach added these thoughts from Philippians 4:4-7. Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again--rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God wha you need, and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

My favorite quote, hangs on my fridge to give me a daily jolt :)

Last months been a tough challenge for me,I've started care on a "old" friend, ex co-worker. She has ALS,nowhere to go but worse. Its her attitude that brightens my day after doing care with her.Shes always joking, smiling and hugging ME.I'm amazed by people like her,Jan,Hanna who's attitudes help the rest of us through life.Thank you so much Shortgrass for your weekly sessions, they mean alot to my week.

As always a big hug to Jan,have yourselves a great week.
