After the brandings, cattle are being scattered around the ranges. Green is such a nice color, don't you think? Soon, if not already, bulls will be scattered also. Calves have been doing their thing. Mine are blooming a bit, and it is nice to watch 'em grow. Just as the calves have a lot of growing to do before weaning time, we, as Christians, must grow. I have been studying Abraham in my bible study time. I see that he had the faith to leave Ur of the Chaldeans, but later he was afraid to trust God with his own life in Egypt, and again with Abimelech. He asked Sarah to lie about being his wife on two occasions, and risk losing her because he was afraid they would kill him to have her. Even Abraham had his ups and downs, but ended up rock solid. He was able to trust God even to the point of offering Isaac as a sacrifice. He wasn't born rock solid, he had to grow into that kind of faith. We also can reach that solid, dependable servant of the Lord point in our lives. Just keep growin'. Neat, huh? Well, have yourselves a good Sunday mornin', and a fine rest of the week too.

Thanks, Shortgrass. Each day is a gift from God, and it is up to us to make the most of it.

Peach and Sunflower have returned from a ten-day visit to Scotland. I asked if they had gone to church last Sunday. They saw some churches, but weren't quite in the right place at the right time. They were on the Isle of Skye that day and visited the beautiful gardens at Armadale Castle. They took their Bibles, and each sat on separate benches having quiet time with their Lord. Peach is studying the Kingdom of Heaven, each time it is mentioned in the Bible. She started this study about a month ago, knowing she would be visiting castles of earthly kingdoms.

Sunflower has been studying the Psalms. She was intrigued by seeing all the sheep in the pastures, and thinking about how it must be from a shepard's point of view.

They both very much enjoyed their Sunday in Scotland.

Thanks Shortgrass,
Glad to hear Peach and Sunflower had a great trip.

We are taking it easy here today. Friday night my daughter got married and we welcomed a new son-in-law into the family. Saturday while we still had to big tent up in the yard and the family gathered we celebrated my folks 62nd anniversary, Tam's and mine 30th, My oldest's 3rd, my brother in laws 60th birthday. My cousin who used to come to the ranch as a teenagers 46th my daughter's 25th my nephews 29th and a cousin and his wife's 50th ann.

My folks should be getting their first Great Grandchild in about a month, so we had lots to celebrate.
