Good Sunday Mornin'

Our plans are to go to Wisconsin to visit our daughter, her husband and our grandchildren. Jan called our daughter (whose birthday is the 4th of July), and asked if the kids were anxious for our visit. Becky laughed, and told us that her 7 year old daughter had asked how long we were going to stay. Becky said she didn't know. Our granddaughter responded with "I know what we can do! When they get here, we'll look in their suitcase and count their underwear!"   What a hoot.

We are pilgrims and visitors on this earth. We have no idea how long we'll be here, but our home and our hope is Heaven (Hebrews 11). Death is just the vehicle for our home going. I guess we need to make the most of our visit here on earth, just as we plan to make the most of our visit to our daughter. We need to seize every opportunity to serve our savior, Jesus Christ. He said that if we serve the least of our brethren, that we have served Him. I'll quit rattling on, have yourselves a good Sunday mornin' and a good rest of the week too.

Shortgrass, I see a career in the future for Becky in NTSB airline baggage inspection.   Just kiddin'!

Your post reminded me of the last time I travelled by air. The security people certainly have a secure job opening your luggage and counting your underwear. They even leave literature in your suitcase to prove they've done the job. That's another reason I like to drive instead of fly.

Edit:    Shortgrass, my apologies! My reading comprehension was lacking this morning. Becky is your daughter, not your granddaughter.

At any rate, enjoy your time together as a family, and safe traveling to you and Jan.
