Sometime in life I suspect we have all run across the fella with a big hat and a good yarn, and he thinks everyone is impressed with what a hand he is. We know it takes more than a hat and a yarn. One of the first qualities in any real hand is that self take a back seat to stock, hay, equipment or any number of other things. There are two areas I feel many Christians are either misunderstood or mistaken about. The first is that it is not about what one does to make themselves acceptable before God; rather it is all about what He has done to make men acceptable before Him. The other is often a person is seen as abused when they are a fine Christian. For example, someone may say that dear ol' Sally is as fine and loving Christian as ever walked, and look at all the problems in her life; if that is how God treats his servants, then I'm not sure I want to be one. Well again it is not at all about how much I get out of serving Him; rather it's about how much the Kingdom of God prospers from my service. It's just not about me, it's all about Him. It just takes more than a hat and a yarn to make a hand. Self takes a back seat. Well once again have yourselves a good Sunday Mornin'.

As always Shortgrass, you said a bunch in just a paragraph. Thanks for taking the time and energy to share with all of us your talent instead of hiding it under a bushel. What's amazing to me about what ya said, is how when ya finally realize who the cowboss is and work at doing what He wants, he blesses your life in countless ways. When ya try going it alone, ya just seem to spin your wheels. I sure am far from perfect, but when I follow the Lord i get lots of perfect blessings. Hope someday He thinks of all of us as Top Hands! :D Thanks again SG!

Yep! When I try to do it it's a mess, When I let Him do it it works! Same thing, not about us, but about Him. I learned that lesson years ago--and just a year ago--and last month--last week--yesterday---O, gosh will I ever learn  ???
