I will carry on with a fresh look at the familiar. Last week David said "The Lord is my shepherd." The Lord was David's life. He says "He maketh me to lie down in green pastures." Sometimes our pastures don't look quite as green as does the other side of the fence. Ever had a cow like that? She would jump a fence to a shorter pasture just cause she wasn't satisfied. That thought helps us to understand David's conscious decision – I shall not want. He isn't talking of his needs, it is a given that they are met. He will not want. He is happy with the green pasture that the Lord has made him lie down in. Well, have yourself a good Sunday mornin', and a fine rest of the week too.
