Surely goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. We have seen that the Lord is my Shepherd, key word being my. That God is my personal keeper. He has provided rest, refreshment, and restoration, guidance, protection all because He has a plan for me that no one else is as qualified to do as I am. Surely – certain, without doubt- goodness and mercy will follow me. I need mercy, because if I get what I have earned, it will be a hot spot in hell. I mean that literally. But by His mercy, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. David did not plan on living in the barnyard or even the servant's quarters. Jesus, Himself, said He is the Good Shepherd in John 10, then in John 14, He says that in His Fathers house are many rooms, and he is preparing one for each person that has placed their hope and faith in Him. Didn't David just say something about goodness? If the Lord is our shepherd how can we not have a good Sunday mornin' and a great rest of the week? Gotta go check a cow………..see ya
