It is the time of year that many farming and ranching families across North America have sold their harvest and know the value of their investment for the year. Hay is up, other commodities mostly harvested. It would be a shame for someone to have a good crop ready to harvest and just leave it rot in the field because they could not get any one to work.
Mathew 9:35 – 38 says “35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” That seems to suggest that there are plenty of people out there that are ready to accept Christ as savior, but not many willing to help them. Doesn’t make much sense, does it?
Have a good Sunday mornin’, and God Bless ………
