I was fixin some fence the other day, and had a buck antelope watch me all day. I first spotted him layin in some CRP grass, and not very noticeable. I wonder how many times we are watched all day by a pair of eyes that we are totally unaware of. One of the popular hymns of the day has a line in it that goes "My God is real, for I can feel Him in my heart." What happens when you can't feel Him in your heart? Is He real? You will not always feel close to God (Psalms 10:1). Sometimes God seems distant, but He does not change. He never promised that we would always feel his presence, but He has assured us that we will never be forsaken (Job 23:8-12). Can you love, trust, obey and worship God even when you don't sense His presence or see obvious evidence of His working in your life? God's omnipresence is a fact, while manifestation of His presence is more of a feeling. Christians often seek an experience. If they feel an emotional uplift then they have worshiped. Seek not an experience, but strive for Christian maturity. God is more concerned that you trust Him than that you feel Him. Faith, not feelings, pleases God. Never doubt in the dark what God has told you in the light of His word. Have yourselves a great Sunday mornin' and God bless.
