This commentary was not written by me, but I heartily agree with it:

I keep hearing a message to the effect that Christians don't need to be upset in the aftermath of this election, because Jesus is our King and He's bigger than the president, and we shouldn't be so wrapped up in the world. Really, Christians? Really? I have to admit to being a little bothered by this display of apathy. Do you really think God doesn't care about the issues that were at stake in this past election? I know we can't view any presidential candidate as our Savior or our hope, but we can let others know that we won't happily sit back and throw up our hands while these things are promoted and our freedoms are stripped away. This wasn't so much an election for someone to fix everything that's wrong as it was about stopping the blatant redefining of so many of our nation's principles. Reminds me a little of Hezekiah when he received the news that his nation would be punished because of his sin and his response was, "Why not, if there will be peace and security in my days?" (2Kings 20:19) It seems we, also, don't care about the kind of nation and future that we're leaving to our children. So, yeah, I'm upset. Do I understand that it didn't change my standing in Christ, or mean that God didn't have His hand in this? Yes. But I also understand that as a Christian it's my job to impact this world around me, and to do my best to give my children and others a legacy to follow. This nation was founded on Godly principles, a place where I have always been free to worship my God as I see fit, and I, for one, would like to see that continue in the future.

The Issues? Also not written by me:

This morning I am so thankful that the One I give my allegiance to is and always will be in Power. My citizenship is forever. I am sick to my stomach that the majority of the people of the country I live in, voted in favor of abortion, gay marriage, government controlled healthcare, Colorado legalized pot, and to keep spending more than what we have. The nation's fabric for my sons to build a family on, is in shreds.

These commentarys were written by my children, and I could not have said either as well as they did. Let us impact the world in which we live; have a good Sunday mornin' and God bless………

Thanks for sharing Shortgrass. I am also disappointed with the outcome, although not entirely surprised. I fear our country's moral fabric is in a state of decay.

There is only one who has walked this earth without sin and he is our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

No man of this world can change the hearts & minds of the people, but by electing a President & other leaders who are directed by their God given moral compass, would be a start in the right direction.

Have a great day!
