Good Sunday Mornin'

Where we live is located on the edge of the dustbowl. In the dirty thirties, wet towels were hung in windows to stop the dirt. Were it not for improved management skill, we would be experiencing the dustbowl all over again. A drab, brown dirty desert describes the land. Then, overnight, a snow covers the land, and we awake to a bright, glistening, crystal clean world. What a picture of the shed blood of Christ! Our lives are pretty dirty, dirtier than most of us care to acknowledge, and overnight, we experience His grace, and accept Him as our Savior, and what a difference! Our outlook and our lives are bright and clean! A fresh snow will cover the ugliest of things, and make them beautiful, Just like his Grace in my life. Have a good Sunday mornin', and God bless.

Thanks, Shortgrass. It's like a clean white tablecloth all over the land.

After a recent snow, my soon-to-be 90-year-old dad was out excitedly taking pictures. He said, "This is about the prettiest snow I ever saw. Usually there is a lot of old brown grass sticking up through the snow, but this year with no grass, the hills and valleys alike are pure white." Guess that is a positive way to assess the situation. :-)

Well said as always. :D Funny how we cuss the drifts and snow but love the benefits that follow when our wells have water, the springs keep running, the creeks have plenty and the auqifer stays replentished. In winter, and life, challenges seem to bring blessings. :D :D Thanks Shortgrass. You are a great example of being willing to serve.
