Jan makes a good apple pie………..She got the grand at the county fair one year, but her dad told her that he could have told her that without wasting a pie for the judges at the fair! I've eaten those pies out of glass pie dishes, tin pie tins, and foil pie tins. Don't much matter what the container is, the pie is always good. Paul said that we carried a very rich treasure in an earthen vessel. Earthen (clay pottery) vessel was the most common one of the day. You and I bring a great message, but the vessel is pretty common. A mighty good pie in a tin foil pan if ya' please. What an honor for God to use any of us, not to mention all of us, to carry the good news to the world. The good news is Christ gave his life to pay the price of our sin. We now may have life eternal. Pretty slick analogy Shortgrass! My mama's apple pie is just delicious no matter when or where it's eaten, or what I pack it in. How much more so the good news of a Savior.
