We are still in the grip of an exceptional drought. As I watch the hay supply dwindle, I look to the clouds hoping for relief. Instead, we get 50 to 60 mph winds that move dirt from roads, windmills, and feed grounds and bury some of the already short grass. I have come to grips with the fact that if there is no feed left, there can be no cattle left either. It is discouraging. If our hope is in tall grass, we are of no hope. The grass withers, the flower fades, been told that already, so our hope must fade with it. Our hope must be in the steadfast love of our God. His word endures forever ………. far beyond any drought. Happiness depends on happenings like a good rain; we can all relate to that feeling. My joy, comfort, and ability to face these situations with confidence and joy are anchored in nothing less than His steadfast, unfailing love. I am here to build His kingdom, not my own. Thank you, Jesus. Have a good Sunday mornin' and God bless.

Truer words were never spoken. Thank you very much for the reminder, Shortgrass. :-)

Zechariah 10:1 Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who makes the storm clouds. He gives showers of rain to men, and plants of the field to everyone.
