The Lord does answer prayer. Yes, I have been on my knees asking for rain, and yes, we did receive rain this week. I thank God for it. But there was another issue to which I refer. I have prayed for rain for years, and usually to no avail. Did you ever feel the heavens were made of brass, and your prayers just bounced back? My head knows this is not true, but sometimes my heart just isn't convinced. That is where I was last week. I had asked God to please just make His presence felt whether it rained or not. Well, I got some rain (enough I am thinking of branding rather than selling pairs) alright, but greater than that, I felt God was with me, knew me, and I knew Him. That beats the rain. Any rain or tall grass or big crop is temporary at best. It will pass. The walk with God is forever…for all eternity. The Lord standing with me is better than the best of rains. Thank you, Lord, for being my God, and holding my hand in good times and bad. Something to chew on for the week, have a good Sunday mornin' and God bless. Of course, one of His greatest blessings are mothers. Happy mother's day, gals.
