Good Sunday Mornin'

Good Sunday Mornin'. I shipped calves on Friday. When I worked ranches for wages, calving season was my favorite time of year. All that changed when I got my own cattle. Now shipping season is my favorite; it comes with a paycheck! We work all year, and sink time and money into these cattle. When the calves are weighed and loaded, there is a reward in sight. A year's wages on one check looks pretty nice. We serve Christ on this earth for a heavenly reward. II Cor 5:9-10 ( 9: So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.) tells us that we work to please Him and we will be rewarded. Eph 2:7-10 says For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10: For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. We have been saved by grace, not of works, that is clear, but it is equally clear that we have been saved for a purpose; to do good works that He prepared and equipped us for – read verse 10. Mathew 25:14-30 is a good scripture look at to gain understanding of the judgment seat of Christ (also I Cor 3:13-15). For a Christian to say "I don't need any reward, just so I get to go to heaven is like a rancher saying "I just want to feed these cattle, calve them out and care for them, but I don't want the paycheck this fall, just give it to my neighbor; that would be foolish! I want to hear Him say "well done good and faithful servant." God Bless, and Have a good Sunday mornin' and a great rest of the week too.

Thank you for the timely message.
We shipped some strs and weaned the rest and preg checked most of the cows and trailed a bunch to winter range this week. We were blessed with pretty decent weather, great help and great food provided by Tam.
Didn't get this read until this evening but we are just sitting around played out from a busy week planning for next.
