Good Surprise

It is always disappointing when a calf doesn't make it. The cow that lost her calf yesterday, had a good surprise for us this morning. The small twin is out and up and away. Three more today, with a couple started tonight. Officially we start next week.

it's amazing how thing sometimes turn out , we were batting a 105 % , that little storm we had we lost a couple of calves , those calves have new moms now

We have had quite a bit of moisture over the last couple of days between rain and snow. The first snow day of the year was in April and it started the moisture train. It is all good, but makes checking cows a full horseback operation, as opposed to a fieldglass one.
5 more calves since yesterday morning and looks like at least 2 more today.
We officially start the 30th of April.
