I suppose this post doesn't necessarily belong on this forum, but I know lots of folks don't visit the other ones. Just wanted to say that despite my occasional ranting and raving here and there, it is good to have great neighbours and I'm damned glad to have you folks to the South of us.
I'm not going to lie, I teared up a little watching this video.... the crowd was singing along.

Edited to add: RIP Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, gone too soon. And to Commons sergeant-at-arms Kevin Vickers: thank you, you are a true Canadian hero.

My sympathy and prayers for your heroes, their families, friends, and nation in this thoroughly disgusting act by terrorists.

Canada and the USA have so much more uniting us than the few small problems dividing us. 'Meeting' some of you on this site as well as in person, has brought that thought home to me many times.

Until the world unites against terrorists, prayer is our best and strongest 'power' against those who would destroy good governments to replace ours with a real reign of terror, imo.

Well said. It's ok for the US and Canada to disagree like brothers, honest disagreement is inevitable, but must at the end of the day remember much more unites us than divides us.
